Introduction
In an encounter with somebody who came for counseling, I was telling Him that God is disappointed with many rich men, because the rich men use their money and wealth in all forms of worldliness. Then, I told him that God wants to raise new set of millionaires and billionaires, who would use their wealth in helping the poor and needy ones and in supporting God’s work. The person replied, “In that case, God owes me, because I donate to the motherless babies, the poor and the needy and so on.”
The person was totally wrong. Charity supposes to be a free will offering, which a person renders without expecting rewards, thanks, praises, force or persuasion. People should give out of free will, by joyful volition. If you give with the intention that God would repay you, you have not done enough. Just give without expecting rewards, and God would bless you far more than other givers.
